DENS is a young company working on enabling the energy transition. This is done by building machines that convert Hydrozine, a fuel based on formic acid, into hydrogen and energy respectively. Hydrozine is a liquid hydrogen carrier which can help solve a lot of the logistics problems of using hydrogen gas. The materials used to create Hydrozine, CO2 and H2O, are the same as the emissions of the machines DENS builds. This makes the process circular and thus sustainable.
Role
Within the C2Fuel project DENS is creating a demonstrator for the conversion of Hydrozine into energy. Next to this, DENS has a role in the production of formic acid using CO2 and H2. This completes the circular process of using Hydrozine as a fuel. During the project DENS will work closely with the consortium partners to validate the business case for the use of Hydrozine as a fuel.
