Gender equality within C2FUEL

2019 statistics coming from “She figures – Gender in Research and Innovation Statistics and Indicators 2021” were compared to C2FUEL figures:

  • 41.3% of women in the population of employed scientists and engineers
  • 32.8% of women of the total population of researchers at European level (average growth rate of 3.9% between 2010 and 2018)
  • 53.7% of women in the population that is tertiary-educated and employed as professionals or technicians in the field of sciences and technology (HRSTC) in Europe.

With 30% of women represented within C2FUEL, the gender equality within the project could be improved but all partners are aware of gender issues and strive for a balanced ratio and equality between men and women.
